Mukesh of Kilkari awarded ‘Rashtriya Bal Puraskar’-2012
Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given by the Government of India for excellent achievements in the field of education, culture, sports, arts, music etc. In 2012, Mukesh of Kilkari was given this award for excellence in Karate. He was given this award by the President of India Sri Pranav Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhawan at a function organized by the ‘Mahila and Bal Vikas Mantralaya’ Govt. of India. This award consists of Rs.10,000/- in cash, one certificate, one citation and one silver medal.

Five Kilkari children acted in ‘Manjhi the Mountain Man’
Ketan Mehta, a well known Indian film director made a film on Bihar’s Dasrath Manjhi’s life who had made a road cutting a mountain. In 2014, five Kilkari children Rahul Kumar, Hema Kumari, Chandani Kumari, Sulekha Kumari and Puja Kumari acted in this film.
Participation of Kilkari Children in ‘Índia’s Best Dramebaaz’
Kilkari’s Abhishek reached in last six in Zee TV’s reality show ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’in 2014. He got an opportunity to live in Mumbai for four months and work with famous artists.
Kilkari’s girl plays the main role in the film ‘Gunja’
Kilkari’s Ishu Kumari acted in the main role in the film ‘Gunja’ which is based upon girl education. This film won the ‘Special Mention Award’ in the short film category in the 2015 Filmfare National Film Award. This film was exhibited in November 2015 in the International Children Film Festival at Hyderabad.

Yashranjan Sinha, the Pen Wizard
Yashranjan Sinha, the pen wizard has till now written more than 70 poems and more than 25 stories and plays. His poem ‘Ek Sapna Sanjoya Bapu Ne’ on ‘Swachchhta Abhiyan’ was presented at National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi in 2014. Human Resource Development Ministry got a film made on this poem. It can be viewed on youtube.
Prizes in Science
In 2015, Abhinav of Science Stream got the first position in National Level Science Model Making competition organized by ‘Jignyasa 2015’. He was given a prize of Rs.10,000/-.
Awarded by Eklavya Prakashan In 2014 and 2015, children across the country were invited to send pictures based upon the lines of the famous writer and lyricist Gulzar by ‘Çhakmak’ a magazine published by Eklavya Prakashan. In this, the children of Kilkari also participated and made paintings. Some of these paintings were selected and published. As a prize, the winning children were sent ‘Chakmak’ for a year free of cost. Rekha Kumari’s painting was included in 2015 calendar of Chakmak.

CCRT Scholarships given to children CCRT, New Delhi has paid scholarships to Kilkari children. In this every child gets a scholarship of Rs.600 per month till first graduate level study or till the age of 20, whichever is earlier.

Kilkari Children acted in Doordarshan’s DD National Channel
Kilkari’s seven children – Kumari Ishu, Khusboo, Rahul Singh, Roshan, Abhishek Raj, Sushmita and Koel Kumari acted in the serial ‘Balchanma’ based upon Baba Nagarjun and telecast by Patna Doordarshan in 2015.

Kilkari in Limca Book of Record
Kilkari successfully organized in 2010, the first Bal Olympiad. Every year the number of participating children increased. In 2012, 7475 children participated in Bal Olympiad. This successful sports festival got the honour of being the biggest National Sports Competition of children in ‘Limca Book of Record’.
Kilkari’s Drama Presentation in NSD (National School of Drama)
Bihar was invited after sixteen years to participate in ‘Jasne-Bachpan’ 2014 by National School of Drama (NSD) in the National Children Theatre. On 06-11-2014 at 06:30 P.M., Kilkari children presented a drama ‘Namaskar Ji Namaskar’ in the Open Lawn of NSD, New Delhi.

In 2016, Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi organized Rashtriya Rang Mahotsav, ‘Rang-Samagam’ in which Kilkari presented a play.
